Rent a bike and ride a 16-mile path that travels through a number of Alpena’s plentiful public parks and beaches.

We are a non-profit trails advocacy group in the Thunder Bay region of NorthEast Michigan. With volunteer cooperative agreements with the MDNR, trails at Norway Ridge and Chippewa Hills are maintained for all non-motorized recreational activities. During the ski seasons the trails are groomed weekly as snow fall warrants. The summer months finds the trails used for hiking, birdwatching, mountain biking and horseback riding. Norway Ridge and the Cippewa Hills are part of the Mackinaw State Forest. They are groomed for nordic skiing from December until March, weather permitting by our volunteers.
