M-TEC offers basic home repair workshop

HARRISON -- Interested in learning basic home repair? Tired of calling a handyman for every little task around the house? If so, this workshop is to attend.
The Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) on the Harrison Campus of Mid Michigan Community College is hosting Basic Home Repair and Maintenance workshops Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The workshops will cover the basics of maintenance and repair around the home and office.
Topics will include sink and faucet install and repair, basic electrical installation, basic plumbing, drywall install and repair and maintenance of common household appliances.
The day is broken up into two sessions – one from 8 a.m. to noon and the other from 1-5 p.m.
The morning session covers flooring and wall installation and repair. The afternoon session will include basic electrical, appliance maintenance and plumbing.
There are still spots open for each session, but participants must register in advance. The cost is $65 for one session or $120 for both. For more information, call Pebbles Adsit at 989-386-6614.
