This message is two-fold:
1. With so many people giving candy as a Valentine's Day gift, please remember that chocolate can be lethal to your dog or cat. Please keep it out of reach; and,
2. I know it is tempting to give a cute and cuddly puppy or kitten to your loved one as a Valentine's Day gift, but make sure that the recipient can take care of it and WANTS to take care of it. It's holidays like these (including Easter, Christmas, etc.) that can produce a lot of unwanted pets and the shelters get flooded with them or they are simply abandoned on their own.
JUST THINK BEFORE YOU GIVE.
