Here it is, the place to dump your done topics!

With my knuckles dragging I share with you my list of things I am soo done with. It's not a hate list. These are just the things I no longer have any interest in and don't want to spend anymore time on after I list them here in no particular order.
Anna Nicole Smith (feel bad for her daughter, who will always wonder if she is being loved just for the money)
Disney (an all American obsession I just don't get. Ultimately vapid and irreflective. Stands for almost nothing but the cash.)
Abortion (Although I have written here about some aspects of this issue, ultimately I am convinced as a man I haven't an emotional clue about this one)
Rap/Hip-Hop (for the most part it hasn't talked about anything but image in like 15 years. Those in the industry who talk about the real stuff don't get the airplay so what's the point. Meanwhile out daughters are turned into objects of temporary possession like cars and bling. Fa' real.)
Detroit Lions (haven't fielded a winner in decades, keep making promises, and announce dramatic moves in the off season that never pan out. I already have politicans for that, don't need this useless franchise.)
New York City or it's NYC oriented TV Shows (we get it. Greatest city in the world, blah, blah, blah. When are the TV/Movie Producers going to realize over 97% of American life, even urban life, happens outside of Gotham.) And on a tangentally (sp?) related note...
"Without A Trace" (once the best written detective proceedural since the first ten years of "Law & Order". Great stories, consistent characters, psychologically thought provoking without a readily predicable ending, since it wasn't based on just dead bodies. Recently it has turned into a revengeful shoot 'em up with bad hair. Also, it took Warner Brothers 2 1/2 years between the release of season 1 and season 2 on DVD. Should be titled "Without a Clue".)
Remakes (don't care how good, since most of them aren't. Won't see them anymore. Done.)
Let me know what you are done with or what you think on any (even these) topics.

Automated phone sytems...When I call somewhere it is usually because I want to talk to a human to have a question answered.I do not want to have to press 6 # 1 # 3 # enter the last 4 of my account # to end up being brought back to the main menu to start all over again. I want a human not a dialing session

I love this topic. I have to think about this for a little while. Hey, Jeff, if people could actually let things go, think where we could be!

I'll get back to you.

My problem is that for every thing I decide to let go of I pick up something to replace it.

I really wanted to go into the military. I felt like I was really cut out for it. However, at that time, I had an infant son and in the 1970s they would not take you (female) if you had children already. Back then, if you had children AFTER you joined, they tried to force you out, too, if you let them.

Anyway, I wanted it so bad that I was actually depressed when I was officially too old to go in. I worked for the Army as a civilian in the late 1970s when my kids' dad was stationed in Germany and absolutely loved it.

Considering I am WAY too old now to get in now, I am ready to let it go.
