Mackinac County hosts Great Lakes splendor at its best.
Geographically spread thinly along the Lakes Michigan and Huron coastlines, you can find plenty of recreational options.
In addition to the Bridge (http://www.mackinacbridge.org/) and the Island (http://www.mackinac.com/), you can also walk the long sandy beach just East of Brevort. Or enjoy a look eastward from Castle Rock. There is also plenty of hiking, including the Hiawatha Trail that spans almost the entire County. Or take a hike under the Cut River Bridge, and appreciate the engineering and architectural design that spans the gorge.
Any which way you enter, plan on taking your time, as you're sure to be making many stops along the way.
