I've been smoking cigarettes since I was 12 years old. I'm now 46 years old. Yes I know it makes some people wince and cringe, but it's the truth. I've quit smoking so many times over the years.
The longest I went without a cigarette was when I was pregnant. I don't know even know how I did that at the time. Recently, I've tried all the "quit smoking patches," "gums," and my insurance doesn't cover the quit smoking pills.
I've quit smoking 11 times this year, only for 24 hours each time. I know it takes will power, I have that in all other aspects of my life, just can't seem to quit smoking.
My mom quit smoking after being a smoker for 37 years of her life. My eldest niece asked her to quit smoking one day and she did, the day after. To this day, that amazes me how easily she did it.
I would love to hear how you quit smoking. What motivated you? How long did it take? Do you still want to smoke? Does the smell of cigarette smoke now bother you or make you want one?
Thanks in advance!
