We have been informed . In the past money from the gas tax has not been used for road work. This confirms what I was told years ago ,when Mandernach ran the DPS.
According to Duchane ,money from the gas tax will only be used for roads. He has outlined the new guidlines in the information he prepared for the M/C.
Just another example how our elected officials have scammed the people of this city. I think our current M/C should use a study session to discuss which funds can be used for which purpose . We have seen cdbg funds requested for overtime pay , Funds requested for service or cost the city does not and cannot cover ,Money for roads used for ,who knows what. They all need to be told what their responsibility is .
No matter what we have been told They know.May not be what they actually know. We cannot afford the mistakes or misdirection of funds that has happened in the past. Wrong is wrong. We don't know how many past p[ractices are correct. They just keep poping up,over the last 3 years. We can't fault our past few M/C. They only were doing what was standard practice and the accepted procedure of their predecessors.
