Question of curiosity

Do you have a land line or have you gotten rid of it?

Many people have gone to cell phones only

Personally we got rid of our land line because we rarely used ours not to mention we got tired of paying just as much for the actual bill as we did in taxes and surcharges

The only concern I have is I've never known a land line to go out of service whereas cell phone lines are out of service at least every so often

So, what do you think?

Please do tell

I only have a land line. I won't use a mobile until there's been enough time for the effects of mobile phones to be clear.
If I'm at work ot at home, I can be reached by the land lines. If I'm out, I'm busy, and you'll have to wait if you want to speak to me.
Answerphones are still a great invention!

I have both a landline and a mobile phone. I'm not quite ready to get rid of the landline yet. Maybe in the next couple of years I will.

I take back what I said. My company is buying me a cellphone, so I'll have to resign from the luddites.

My sister not only has a landline, but a rotary phone hooked up in the basement. It is the only one that worked during the August 2003 power outage. The cells were spotty at best.
I have just a cell because I hate coming home at 10pm to messages on my machine. This way I can ignore messages much earlier in the day. LOL
