Just wanted to share some info with everyone
I was curious to know if my new digital box with Wide Open West would work as a converter for HDTV when it comes out so I called and asked
The representative didn't really sound to convincing with their answer
But, the answer was this
No, the digital box will not convert the HDTV signal and I would have to buy a converter box
But, at the same time one of our members on this site said they worked for Best Buy and stated these digital boxes would convert the HDTV signal
So, what's the true answer?
I really don't know
Would seem kind of lame that our cable companies can't provide a box that converts such signals
Anyone have a clue beyond what I've been told that may help the rest of us commoners?
Please do tell if you know
