In my opinion, nothing is really going to even begin to be honestly discussed until the general election is behind us. All the politicians are just playing politics now...hoping their parties win control in Washington...at all levels.

Unfortunately, this will be bad for the average citizen. But, we have no one representing our needs.

It's disgusting...disgusting in deed.

I think all the ideas are out there. But LPTaxpayer is right, the political wars won't allow much to occur before next January and we ARE the ones who suffer.

All I tend to hear on the news are so-called programs that will come in to "retrain" all those workers who have lost their jobs. Retrain as what? A worker that will earn $7-$10 an hour? You can't take care of a family on that wage in Michigan. Heck, unless you live somewhere really cheap, you can't take care of YOURSELF on that wage in Michigan! Why do you think two of my sons moved to KY? Because housing/rent is cheaper there. Everything else is the same. Actually, this past weekend, gasoline prices were slightly HIGHER there, at $4.18 a gallon.
