Excellently approachable foreign film can be a difficult sell even if it is in English and boasts prominent American stars (i.e. "Much Ado About Nothing" with Denzel Washington). That being written, "The Fabulous Destiny Of Amelie Poulain" works on so many levels one can scarcely ignore it's vibrant presentation. Three things rightfully brought this film it's much deserved Academy Award Nominations and audiences beyond the easily agitated, self-aggrandizing foreign film groupies....
